Blue Laminate Wardrobes in a Seaside House
Let’s get this out of the way - I bloody LOVE these wardrobes, and will happily toot my horn about them to anyone who cares…. and a lot of people who don’t - sorry (not sorry).
The customer’s choice of this pale blue Egger laminate suits the light in this 1930s Devon seaside townhouse so well, and the contrast between the coloured fronts and the plywood sides is just perfect.
We advised the customers to have these in their alcoves with shadow gaps all round - I think in a period house the gap gives you a needed separation between the old and the new, allowing the modern design to shine in its own right without distracting from the 1930s features of the house.
Each wardrobe has two large drawers on hidden soft close runners. There’s an internal shoe rack, hanging rail and top cupboards for extra storage. The doors have a recessed handle inlaid with ply to provide a lovely contrast.
We can offer doors and fronts on their own too, if you like - they can be made to any size, including all common Ikea sizes and shapes.
