A Big Green Wardrobe with internal lighting, loads of drawers and a hidden TV
I love this one. Big, bright and without compromises.
Nine massive drawers are the big appeal here, I think - the best way to store all your clothes. You’ll notice the design’s a bit asymmetrical - part of that’s because of the long ironing board cupboard in the right, but I also think it keeps a space more interesting this way. An open alcove further breaks the space up and stops such a big piece feeling oppressive in the room.
That colouful finish isn’t laminate, it’s a hard-wearing paint. I’ve gone off laminate for fronts a bit, because while it looks good when new, if and when it takes damage it’s impossible to fix. It’s also not the most environmentally-friendly product, with loads of microplastics created in the machining. So I tend to recommend painted finishes now - they’re repairable and better for the planet, look just as good and come in all the colours of the rainbow.
LED lighting inside your cupboards is so handy - unless you’re on a tight budget I highly recommend it. The lights come on automatically when you open the doors.
Finally, we’ve got the wonderful sliding pivot doors that recess into the wardrobe when you want to watch the TV, but otherwise look the same as the other cupboard doors. I love em.
